Born in Cologne, I grew up bilingual (German and Farsi) in Teheran and later Austria. I now live in Barcelona.

After attending the music program with concentration in piano at high school, I graduated in Italian and Spanish translation and interpretation from the University of Vienna with a thesis on Ruggiero Leoncavallo's "I Pagliacci".

In 2012 I concluded my post-graduate degree in Music Therapy from the University of Barcelona with a thesis on “Music Therapy and Autism ”.

I was able to experience the relation between breathing, sound production, timbre, phonetics and language in my voice studies starting in 1999. My references for the theoratical approach in speech technique for singers were Benno Schollum from the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna and Nico Castel from the Metropolitan Opera in New York.

From 1994 onwards I have been working in Vienna, New York and Barcelona among others as an interpreter, translator, conference organizer and lyric diction coach as well as a music therapist.

With regard to Music Therapy, continuous training through conferences, courses (autism, palliative care, Orff, Gestalt therapy) and internships allow me to enhance my professional knowledge and experience.

opera & language was created in 2001.
